You might not have the trouble of removing a wheel from your bed if it is just been recently purchased but after some time you might have to if one of them becomes broken. It is really not that difficult to do but by using a proper technique would really help make the job easier.
1. First, remove the mattress including the box springs of the bed base or frame.
2. Now, with the mattress out of the way, lift one corner of the bed frame, the one with the broken wheel on it. These wheels are most likely have been fitted into a groove that can be pulled. Attempt to pull the wheel out from the groove with your free hand. You may have to move the wheel stem back and forth to loosen it a bit.
Note: If after several tries, and the wheel still can not be removed by hand, the task may require a little tap with a hammer or any other similar blunt object to loosen the broken wheel from the groove. Tap on the top of the wheel slot while holding the frame off the floor.
